PREPRESS TECHNICIAN 4PM - 1AM Starting pay is $17/hr. Under the direction of the Prepress manager, the Prepress Technician is responsible for Imposing customer files, Preflighting customer supplied files and resolving file issues by both communicating issues back to the customer when required and/or correcting file issues internally. This position requires good working knowledge of the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Programs. Accuracy and attention to detail is extremely important. Perform under deadline pressure is expected; ability to multi-task a must. Responsibilities: Make sure all final changes have been made before going into production. Maintain open communication with supervisor at all times regarding work issues Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident. Design and build pages in InDesign Proofread pages for accuracy  Flow and output daily Classified section Prepare plates for pressroom Perform final press checks in the initial printing process to ensure plate to print color accuracy   Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.  Must be comfortable with multiple operating systems and new software applications Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects, under a tight deadline, with a focus on the details. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, meet deadlines  LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be proficient in English and have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and communicate effectively with customers and other employees of the organization. Requires excellent time-management and interpersonal skills. Experience working with any of the major Prepress Workflow environments is a plus but not required. Working knowledge of the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Programs.
